I have always joked with Chase that the Honeymoon wasn't for the Bride and Groom together, but was a reward for the Bride for all of her hard work! Either way, we both were so ready for a break and for some time together away from the chaos!
We decided to take a more economical and scenic Honeymoon to the Smokey Mountains in North Carolina. We flew into Georgia and had a beautiful drive to our cabin in the mountains. We were met with warm and friendly faces in the towns we visited and were able to really appreciate the beauty of North Carolina's landscape! Here are a few pictures of our time together there!
View from our porch! Mountains everywhere!
The back area of our cabin!
It was a beautiful drive everywhere we went...
The town of Bryson City, the closest town to our cabin.
This is what we woke up to, after snow!
To the left you can see the restaurant we ate at where you watch the river. Beautiful!
Nothing like cold beers, snow, and a hot tub! (And hoping your camera doesn't fall off the snowy ledge!)
Take two!
There was just enough snow to make things white, but not enough to make the roads dangerous!
View from the Tennessee/North Carolina state line.
You can see the road we had to drive up to get there!
We made it to Gattlinberg!
Chase bought me delicious caramels for a treat!
We went to Ripley's Aquarium - way cool!
Stopping for photo op on the way back to NC
Camera, please don't fall in the river!
Success!
We're already planning our trip to go back in the summer to try some rafting!
